Ingredients:
2c flour
2 t baking powder
1T sugar
½ t salt
¾ c dry powdered milk
2 heaping T shortening

Directions:
Mix until meal-like consistency.
Add water to make stiff but sticky dough. (3/4-1 c)
Roll out onto floured board about ½ -3/4 “ thick.
Cut into rounds.
Stack 2 rounds high on cookie sheet where you have melted ¼ c margarine.
For each top biscuit dip in margarine before stacking.
Bake 350º until golden brown. 12-15 minutes. Makes 6-8 double stack biscuits. (I usually triple this recipe for more than 6 people.

Grandpa Gotfredson who was a great campfire cook. Uncle Reid Hammond and Jackie Dobbins convinced me that you can even cook these in a Dutch oven—it works!!!!
